COME ANY TIME TO OBSERVE A CLASS AND MEET THE TIGER TENNIS TEACHING PROFESSIONALS

Tiger Tennis was started in 2002 for kids, families and ladies in  Carmel as a group of 4 families that wanted to learn the sport of tennis, other families joined in and as the kids got older many wanted to start a team and to have a sport to play with Christian sportsmanship and to have an attitude of determination, focus and discipline . We teach our lessons and techniques with these attitudes in mind. We have over 500 kids, ladies and families playing in 78 matches a year and taking tennis lessons. .We are committed to offer this program with tutelage of Christian coaching in an environment. of Family Values.  Our mission is to encourage young men and women, families and ladies to press for God’s excellence in all things. Philippians 3:10-15 “I am determined to know Him… Forgetting what lies behind and pressing forward to what lies ahead. I press toward the goal to win the prize to which God in Christ  Jesus is calling us” All of our programs are Christian tennis programs based on the Word of God, building up and encouraging our participants in God’s word, pray fully encouraging them to grow in God’s plan for their life.  Our mission is to encourage all of our students age 4-85 in our Lord to press for His excellence in all things. ",I started this tennis program  17 years ago at our courts for my 4 and 6 year old daughters because I had taken them to Carmel Racquet Club club and it  was $32 an hour with 28 kids on one court with one teacher, I had played competitively since I was 6 played varsity in college and gotten certified as a United States Tennis Association as a teaching pro. I charge $6-15 an hour and my membership and court time fee is free and we teach certified tennis technique. We have so much fun and have a great group I hope you will join us!Most of my kids are beginners but some are more advanced. I am offering free membership and court fees for my neighbors.  Right now I have 8 -6-11 year old beginners and advanced beginners and 9- 12-17 year olds intermediate and advanced intermediate players signed up. My girls teams have been going now for 12 years we play the matches listed below I ask that the girls come to lessons to I am taking advanced beginner and up.Thanks so much please let me know if I can answer any other questions. Julie Woods

March 5 at 1:05pm ·

We had lessons with Renee, we highly recommend her

 Renee,

I wanted to write you a thank you for all that you do with our class.  I love your class!  I look so forward to going that I get up on class days with a smile on my face and am raring to go.  You are so unlike former teachers with whom I've worked. To be honest, the classes were overcrowded in the past, and it seemed like too much material was covered in too little time.  Moving on to the next lesson was quite quick, even at the expense of learning how to do the basics.  Not so in your class.  You are so knowledgeable, funny, and enthusiastic.  You make the class fun, energetic, and challenging.  I just LOVE your classes!  I wake up on class days with a smile on my face and excited to be going that day.  You do a fabulous job, and I for one, really appreciate your positive, thorough teaching approach.  Diane Ryan teacher 36 years

“Renee my kids love you classes you are such a great teacher. You have really taught my kids how to play tennis, to paint and draw thank you” Sue Stieman Carmel

My kids all three have learned to play the guitar and sing from Renee, they now all lead worship at our church and at College we are so thankful to Renee for making this possible Bet Moore Carmel

“I love the variety of the class I like the way you think. I hope there is room for me. I did ask within an hour of your post, if that matters. If there is no room for me this time, for any reason, please keep me on a waiting list for the next opportunity! Bless you, and keep up these wonderful classes. 😎💜” Victoria Zionsville, Indiana

“I love the way you teach my kids not only have they lerned how to play tennis and to  do water color they come home and paint all 3 of them have learned to love painting and are painting all the time” Vicky Grinner Noblesville

“Hi I have been a single mom for 10 years and have never been able to take a water color class, I bought my self a water color set 10 years ago but have never been able to use them, I am so excited to be taking your class, and God is so good” Susan Stiemen Fishers, Indiana

“The paintings and you ladies are awesome!  Renee you're so good!  You're positive and loving energy is infectious!  You're a delight!” Joie Mader, Woodland Green

Thank you!

Our greatest desire is to have a sports club whose members will be able to work harmoniously together, and with that end in mind, we have established the following standards of behavior that will be enforced. Our mission is to encourage young men and women in our Lord to press for His excellence in all things: We believe in discipline and determination an attitude of not giving up, digging in and pressing through, players are rewarded for their attitude and effort, their ability to listen and learn. We hope to build up and prove and to build strong individuals in Christ. We believe kids learn to play tennis by playing matches no matter what their level of play, by learning where to stand, strategy, placement of the ball, along with basic stroke instruction kids stick with the game because it is fun to play with kids their own level.

 About Platform Tennis

Platform Tennis is an American racquet sport enjoyed by thousands of people of all

ages. It is the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in cold weather.

This unique appeal attracts people who desire fresh air, competition, and social

engagement - all on a chilly winter's day or night.

The sport is played at private clubs, public facilities, and in
backyards at both highly

competitive and purely recreational levels. Because it is easy to learn, it is enjoyed by

players as young as eight and as old as old bones allow.

The Court: The game is played on an aluminum deck about 1/3 the size of a tennis court and is surrounded by a 12' high superstructure with taut, 16-gauge "chicken wire" fencing which allows play off the walls, as in racquetball and squash.

Platform tennis was invented in 1928 in Scarsdale, New York, USA by James Cogswell and Fessenden Blanchard. The primary difference from paddle tennis is that the platform tennis court is 6 feet shorter, fenced by taut chicken wire off which the ball can be played.

Renee Bognar Instructor  - “I started playing this sport when I was 7 with my family and it is my favorite sport I am still playing at age 59 and I just love being out in the fresh air I have played in tournaments and taught this sport for 40 years”317-667-3605
